Genealogical manuscript – a fine and attractive document charting the genealogy and property holdings of Sir William Ayscough (died 1695), presumably to establish title to the land holdings at Kirby and Sowerby in Yorkshire. The ms is written out on 10 sheets of large legal folio paper, and would appear to be near contemporaneous to Sir William’s death as the watermark in the paper suggests a date of 1707.
