Ephemera – Ranelagh Gardens – ticket to a ball at the pleasure gardens. Dated June 1st 1803. Detailed engraving of standing women with streamer with legend “Ball at Ranelagh” and child with shield. The two cut out sections bottom left and right show the ticket was actually used for admission to the Pleasure Gardens and also to the Rotunda. Detailed black printing with some manuscript annotations, size 6” x 9”. A very scarce item, particularly as this was the last large social Ball held by the Nobility before the Rotunda building closed later that same year.
