1953 signed letter from H D G Leveson-Gower on headed note paper ‘Beardsley & Co Stock & Share Brokers’ dated October 3rd 1953, ‘My Dear, I am so sorry they were not sent before. I hope you have not been inconvenienced’ signed H.D.G Leveson Gower, t/w a postcard of C.B Fry (captain) Sussex unsigned (2). Note: Sir Henry Dudley Gresham Leveson Gower, an English cricketer who played first class cricket for Oxford University and Surrey and captained England in Test cricket. His final first-class match was for his own Team v Cambridge U in 1931. He captained the MCC team to South Africa 1909/10, leading England in three Tests on that tour. In 1953 he was knighted for his services to cricket.
