Rare 1957 Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Presentation tennis ball table lighter – comprising a tennis ball with gilt lining and inscribed to the cover “The Championship 1957” and engraved to the lighter “To Mark The Visit Of Her Majesty The Queen” mounted on gilt circular base – overall 3.5”h. Note: In 1957, Queen Elizabeth attended Wimbledon for the first time as patron and to commemorate this historic occasion the AELTC produced and presented only 12, or at most 19 to the organizing committee members and lawn tennis association representatives. There are two known examples one in Wimbledon LT Museum and the other in the Australia Historical Tennis Society
