Printed document with manuscript annotations and signatures. Also the embossed East India Company seal at left. Signed by William Wilberforce Bird (1784–1857) as the acting Governor General of India. Also signed by Frederic Millett (1798-1856) member of council of Governor-General of India, with minor tears and folds otherwise clean, size 40cm x 25cm. Note: The 13th Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry known as the Shekhawati Regiment were Rajputs mostly from Jaipur raised in 1835 saw action at the battles of Chenab and Gujerat in the Second Sikh War (1848-49). At the Siege of Lucknow many served and stayed loyal thus the regiment still exists today in modern India.
