WWII a fine archive of more than 200 letters of Sister Enid Cowburn of the British Territorial Army Nursing Service to her finance the Rev Peter baron, a Church of England Trainee Priest, written under the duress of the War and discussing various major events such as the British Expeditionary Force, Allied setbacks in North Africa, Hitler’s invasion of Russia, the sinking of British ships and an air raid that killed civilians in Leatherhead in 1940.
