WWII – ATS good group of approx 13 letters written by Private Elizabeth Pearson serving with the ATS attached to 484 Heavy (Mixed) Anti-Aircraft Battery, Royal Artillery, and later with a touring entertainment unit, covering the period 1943-45, providing an insight into the activities of these brave women. The later correspondence covers her period in occupied Europe with an entertainment unit and comments: ‘...Kiel is absolutely caput as they say over here, meaning finished. I don’t think there is a single house standing...it is hard working travelling in army trucks & the girls are cracking a bit under the strain. After all it is seven months since we were home...’
