WWII Nuremberg Trials – autograph – Signed by Herman Goering days before his suicide first edition copy of ‘Herman Goering Wert und Mensch [Herman Goering Works and Deeds] Berlin 1938, signed and inscribed by Goering on inside cover ‘Herman Goering Nurnberg 1946’. Provenance: this was given to Dr Goldensohn along with the books in the previous lot in the days before the expected executions of the Nuremberg war criminals. Goering, the most high profile of all the defendants at Nuremberg escaped execution by taking his own life the night before he was due to hang. A remarkable item.
