WWII – Architectural plans to Heinrich Himmler’s mansion at Tagernsee – ephemera…

WWII – Architectural plans to Heinrich Himmler’s mansion at Tagernsee – ephemera original architectural plans for the mansion at Tagernsee which became Himmler’s personal retreat throughout WWII. Drawn on a single large sheet of paper approx 50x48ins. An ms note to verso indicates that this was a duplicate plan – no doubt given to Himmler for his own inspection. Slight weakness in folds, and a few minor close tears – easily conserved in our estimation. The drawings show the house in profile and plan with detailed drawings of the floor plan of the house showing rooms etc. A number of high profile Nazis had mansions built for them around the idyllic lake at Tagernsee, south of Munich. Himmler’s was one of the finest. It naturally fell vacant in 1945, but still stands today as a private residence.
