WWII – ‘D Day’ – Omaha Beach a printed briefing on 6pp marked ‘Top Secret…

WWII – ‘D Day’ – Omaha Beach a printed briefing on 6pp marked ‘Top Secret Bigot’ dated April 21st 1944, being a briefing for Omaha Beach, containing a description of the terrain, description of the tidal range, obstacles which could be encountered, two photograph illustrations and a section on the German installations and defences with diagrams. Pages a little stained, but clearly legible, in blue printed card cover bearing the emblem of the Neptune Monograph with register number 839 and stating that this was prepared by Commander Task Force 122. Scarce. This particular example was retrieved from a house clearance in the south of England and doubtless originally belonged to a senior British military figure. Allied invasion plans are of the greatest rarity on the market- as they were obviously top secret and would only have been circulated to a very small number of people who needed to know them. Together with a colour printed Allied publication dated 1943 and marked ‘Secret’ providing information on France Belgium and Holland, with loosely inserted cyclostyled update document to 1945, and a formerly classified translation of a series of German lectures on ballistics dated 1943
