Falklands War – autograph – Sir Rex Hunt, Civil Commissioner to the Falklands during the War map of the Falkland Islands, bearing the stamp of the Argentinean occupying forces and signed by Hunt to base. Approx size 19x14ins. This is a good example of the official British map of the Falklands produced in 1966 which was clearly captured by the Argentinean forces during the war and given their official stamps – one a title stamp to top left hand corner and the other on the body of the map being the official stamp of the military government of the Malvinas. It was clearly one that was then recaptured by the British and signed by Hunt to re-assert the Sovereignty of the islands. A rare item.
