Rare George Hirst (Yorkshire and England) personal signed cricket bat - comprising Tyldesley & Holbrook Manchester “Test Match” signed cricket bat – dark aged finish with whipping to the bottom of the bat – signed by both G Hirst and J T Tyldesley to the back and dated 1905 - Note in 1906 George Hirst scored over 2000 runs and took 201 wickets the only man to ever do the Double Double in a season. Note The bat comes directly from the Tyldesley and Holbrooke Co in Deansgate Manchester who sold the company to the present owners family in 1965 and several old bats incl this one were included in the sale. It understood that the company acquired this bat and others from the players after their achievements on the pitch and comes with a letter of provenance from the present owner.
